Save the Date! The Career Technical Education (CTE) Program will continue their workshops in the 21stCentury Workskills series this fall. The first workshop of the fall will be on the topic of Self-Awareness on Wednesday, September 19 and Thursday, September 20. The Self-Awareness Workshop will focus on resume writing; teaching students to highlight their strengths while building their resume.
Students that attend the CTE workshop are encouraged to visit the Career Resource Center before September 19 in order to take a quiz and receive a career and personality temperament report. This will help tailor the workshop to each student’s individual needs.
The 21st Century Skills are career readiness and workplace success skills necessary to gain and advance in a career. These skills include knowledge, workskills, and character traits that employers look for in the workplace. Each month, the CTE Program highlights one of the following 21st century workskills: adaptability; analysis/solution mindset; collaboration; communication; digital fluency; empathy; entrepreneurial mindset; resilience; self-awareness; and social diversity awareness.
