Community Resource Information and Details:

  • Anaheim Fire Department

    Community Engagement

Community Risk Reduction is the identification and prioritization of risks followed by the coordinated application of resources to minimize the probability or occurrence and/or the impact of unfortunate events.  To us at Anaheim Fire & Rescue, it means that we exist not only to respond to emergencies after the fact but to prevent or reduce the effects of their occurrence in the first place. It means we will (and should) act proactively as a risk reduction entity for the community. It also assumes that we can’t do it alone and must ultimately partner with other community organizations to accomplish risk- reducing objectives.  Our programs include community events, Home Safety Visits , Ready, Set, Go!, school programs, station tours and water safety.  Please contact us for more information!

  • The Coalition of Orange County Community Health Centers

The Coalition of Orange County Community Health Centers was founded during a pivotal era of transformation—emerging from the early waves of healthcare reform and fueled by a bold spirit of innovation. What began in the early 1970s as an informal alliance among ten visionary community-based organizations has grown into a leading force for primary care and advocacy in Orange County.

These pioneering executive directors and clinic managers came together with a shared purpose: to exchange best practices, pool resources, and strengthen their collective voice through trust and collaboration. Even in those early days, their mission was clear—to build access points for health and social services for Orange County’s medically under-resourced and historically excluded communities.

Their efforts culminated in April 1974, with the formal incorporation of the Coalition as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization.

  • Serve the People

Serve the People, Inc. is a nonprofit organization dedicated to advancing equity and well-being through two core areas: social services support and comprehensive healthcare.

We operate a biweekly food pantry, provide legal aid, assist with health insurance enrollment, and are expanding into after-school youth programming and sports to support the next generation.

On the healthcare side, our integrated community health center offers affordable medical, dental, vision, behavioral health, and specialty care services.

In addition, we proudly support individuals and families in times of crisis through disaster relief.

Whether meeting immediate needs or building long-term pathways to stability, we are committed to delivering compassionate, accessible, and impactful services to those who need them most.

Excellence of instruction and individualized learning laboratories enhance the possibility for students to achieve their highest potential. In addition, a staff of tutors and full-time counselors provides instructional support and extensive guidance information to aid students in their choice of programs and classes. For the student who plans to complete a bachelors degree, the college provides a smooth transition from high school to colleges and universities.

Numerous occupational programs are available for the student who desires preparation for immediate employment. Each occupational program is planned with the aid of a local advisory committee to ensure relevance to changing career opportunities in each area of employment.

The college is composed of 16 major instructional or instructional-support buildings located on a 110-acre site. The campus buildings contain conventional classrooms as well as laboratory facilities for science, art, computer technology, photography, automotive services, dental clinic, mortuary science, kinesiology, and other specialized programs. The college also provides opportunities for students with disabilities to be fully integrated into various college programs.

In addition, Cypress College students have access to the student center, bookstore, and food service centers. There are nine parking lots with an aggregate of 4,000 parking spaces designed to service students and staff, with an appropriate number of spaces reserved for the disabled.

Cypress College serves the educational needs of its entire community by providing a variety of occupational programs, transfer programs, and special interest classes. The college offers something for everyone, regardless of the student’s individual background or educational goals. Since opening in 1966, Cypress’ population has grown from an original enrollment of 1,200 to a student population of approximately 15,000.

Cypress College is one of the 114 campuses comprising the California Community Colleges, one of the Golden State’s three systems of higher education. Cypress College’s educational programs articulation with the other two systems of higher ed — the California State University and the University of California — as well as private universities. An important component of this is rigorous accreditation, which is granted to Cypress College through the Accrediting Commission for Community and Junior Colleges of the Western Association of Schools and Colleges.
