The 6th Annual Building Trauma-Informed Communities (BTIC) Conference was held April 11, 2025, in Buena Park, California. Parents, grandparents, caregivers of children, and dozens of professionals from various fields attended this dynamic event.

Conference attendees:

  • learned from changemakers and leaders who offered insights into adversity and its effects on children
  • gained insights into Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs) and the impact on children’s development
  • learned methods to enhance wellness for children, families, and themselves
  • gained insight and methods to facilitate children’s social and emotional wellness, and how academic success in school can be enhanced when trauma-informed practices are used outside of school and in the classroom.

The Building Trauma-Informed Communities Conference is funded by the North Orange County Regional Consortium.
